Nervous about that bridge appointment booked in for Monday? Confused about the type of bridge to prescribe and when to prescribe it? Unsure about abutment teeth suitability? Implants are not necessarily the only option for an edentulous space. This course will allow participants to rediscover the bridge option and recommend and execute them appropriately.
Praveen will cover the fundamentals of the conventional 3 unit bridge as well as Cantilever, Maryland and all-ceramic bridge options plus, also review the various bridge material offerings available. Difficult scenarios like tilted abutments, location of attachments, and mobile teeth will also be discussed. Soft tissue management, temporisation, all vital parts of the prosthodontic process will be reviewed and practiced. Participants will be able to utilise the latest soft tissue laser for retraction on animal jaws. Participants will also be able to improve their impression taking skills.
The appropriate cement selection for conventional and bonding procedures and the right cementation techniques will ensure a satisfactory restoration. Confusion regarding bonding agents will be addressed. A simple technique for trying in restorations will be taught.
Participants will learn techniques which will be able to be applied the next day in practice.
